Indian railways has played a major role in driving and uplifting India's economy , and under the leadership of Modi's government a plethora of projects have given a boost to India's railway sector .From upgradation of railway stations to prioritising customer's travel and comfort , the railway sector indeed has come a long way . Further with the

introduction of Vande Bharat Express , a new milestone has been achieved by PM Narendra Modi's government . Now let's deep dive into the evolution that Indian railways sector has gone through with particular focus on Vande Bharat Express and how these initiatives are revolutionizing the railway services in the country.

VANDE BHARAT EXPRESS is India's semi-high speed train which leads the adoption of digital Automatic Train Protection (ATP) and Train Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS) which is paving way for a safer and more efficient railway network in india. Aligning with the ' MAKE IN INDIA ' campaign of government of india , the Vande Bharat Express , along with TCAS known as KAVACH by Indian railways , is wholly designed and manufactured in India which is also a notable milestone in showcasing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. The train can achieve a maximum speed of 160 - 180 kmp/h due to its faster acceleration and deceleration . Traveling time by using Vande Bharat will also be reduced by 25 percent to 45 percent.

PROBLEMS FACED NY VANDE BHARAT EXPRESS :-

1. With Vande Bharat being a 16 - coach train compared to usual 22 coaches for rajdhani express or other super fast trains in India , there is reduction in carrying capacity , which may not be favourable for one of the most populous countries of the world.

2. Vande Bharat , although being capable of running at 160 km/hr , have been operating at an average speed of around 75 km/hr due to huge list of limitations such as IR tracks , bridges , tunnels etc.

~ other steps which have also been taken for progression of indian railways includes :-

1.Automatic signalling

another milestone accomplished by Indian railways is the development of automatic electronic book signalling systems at railway stations . This system has been instilled since it is cost effective and for purpose of increasing line capacity and safety measures on tracks.

2. Re-development of railway stations with modern amenities :-

- railway stations are now mostly congestion free with segregation in departure and arrival of passengers. Railway sector is also thoughtful of specially abled persons as they now provide

wheelchairs and separate pathways for their convenience.

In conclusion it can be said that indian railways is laying the foundation for a safer , more efficient , and passenger - convinient railway experience . Evolution of indian railway sector is a transformative journey that holds immense potential for nation's future growth and economy .
